Balzan Welcoming Centre

The Balzan Welcoming Centre was opened over 20 years ago by the Good Shepherd Sisters and, since then, it has been welcoming migrants in need of shelter. The centre currently assists around 60 persons, mostly women and single mothers. The Migrants Commission has been running the centre for over a decade and is presently upgrading the facilities.

In the coming months the premises will undergo a thorough refurbishment so as to offer dignified shelter and a programme of support the specific needs of those welcomed. The Centre will be offering shelter to women, single mothers and families.
